All my family members used to suffer from a sense of fear and diseases

I am in my forties and drive a taxi for a living and I live in Chennai, India. I used to be feared by my wife and two sons because I was addicted to alcohol and drugs. I couldn't stand the withdrawal symptoms like trembling hands and severe headache when I didn't drink. I even threatened my wife and sons with knife and beat them up at night. My family got messed up more and more.

My wife had thyroid disease, heart disease, and pollakiuria. She also had difficulty in breathing. My first son left home to avoid me. He was losing his eyesight due to high fever and suffered from headaches. My last son horsed around sleeping every night because of somnambulism. All family members were inflicted with diseases.


By the handkerchief prayer, I quitted drinking and taking drugs

In November, 2007, Brother Rabi introduced Pastor Joseph Han to me. Pastor Han is ministering Chennai Manmin Church. Brother Rabi said, "There is a branch church that belongs to the church ministered to by the Korean speaker who led 2002 India United Crusade in Marina Beach.

I was Hindu, but I saw Speaker Dr. Jaerock Lee manifest the works of power and deliver the holiness gospel even in torrential downpours. The people in India were deeply moved by him. He spread the love of God for souls with such fervor.

The crusade became known so widely that countless non-Christians as well as Christians attended the crusade. The number of people in attendance reached a record of 3 million.

I had been impressed by the crusade and Dr. Lee. So, I willfully followed Brother Rabi and went to Chennai Manmin Church. The members were offering Friday All-night Service of Manmin Central Church through GCN TV. After the service, Pastor Han urged me to believe in the Almighty God, accept Jesus as my Savior, and lead a proper Christian life. Then, he prayed for me with the handkerchief on which Dr. Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12).

I received the prayer and experienced fiery works of the Holy Spirit. The works were so powerful that I passed out twice. When I recovered consciousness, I had peace in my body and heart. What's more amazing, I was finally set free from alcoholism and drug addiction that had troubled me for 20 years and ten years respectively.


Our family were converted from Hinduism to Christianity

After experiencing the power of God, I was converted to Christianity. I read Dr. Jaerock Lee's representative book The Message of the Cross and came to understand why Jesus is our only Savior. Since I realized the providence embedded in the cross, the love of God and the Lord touched my heart more deeply.

Two weeks after that, I came across an amazing work once again. I was receiving Dr. Lee's prayer during the divine healing meeting during the Friday All-night Service. At that time, I didn't know how to pray. So I just cried saying over and over again, "Lord, forgive me. Lord, forgive me."

At the very moment, light that was like a white star fell upon my forehead. It was strong enough to make me feel heat in all my body and I was pushed back around 2 meters. Then, I came to be free from the withdrawal symptoms such as trembling hands.

These experiences made me turn over a new leaf. Seeing me change, my family members were very pleased. But still not all of them attended the church. My wife was raised in a Hindu family, so it was not easy for her to convert to Christianity.

In the meantime, Pastor Joseph Han had a visitation service in my house. When my wife received his prayer, she received the fire of the Holy Spirit and finally accepted the Lord. She threw away idols she had kept at home and started to attend the church. Hallelujah!


I attended Chennai Manmin Church with family and prayed fervently

After I accepted the Lord, I came to have peace. But I still suffered from creditors who knocked on door day and night. This was because I spent a lot of money on drinking and taking drug. My debts had snowballed.

One day, my wife and I cried and even felt like we wanted to die due to our harsh reality. Then, Brother Joel talked to me about his story. He said he also had fallen in financial difficulties but received blessings from God through prayer. He advised me to attend Daniel Prayer Meeting.

I laid down everything and just prayed to God. I thoroughly repented and tried my best to live by the Word of God. I worked faithfully in home, workplace, and church.

All my family members listened to Dr. Lee's messages in Chennai Manmin Church through GCN TV. Our faith increased as we received prayer and watched signs, wonders, and powerful works through GCN TV. In addition, Pastor Joseph Han prayed for my family and my children with the handkerchief of power.


When our spirit and soul prospered, everything went well with us, and we were in good health

In May, 2011, we give thanks offering with 10,000 rupees (250,000 won or about 216 dollars, which is the average monthly income of people in India) with all their hearts. Since then, God has given spiritual and physical blessings to my household. My mother-in-law and two nephews recovered their eyesight and took off their glasses during the Special Divine Healing Meeting held in June. I started to work in real estate as a sideline. I earned 45,000 rupees (around 1.2 million won, 1.039 dollars) per month. I even made around about 50,000 rupees (around 4 million won, 3,463 dollars) for three months and I was able to pay off all my debts.

All my family members became church workers. I am working as a president of Men's Mission and my wife as a president of Women's Mission. I am also a teacher in Children's Sunday School and a choir member. My first son was a group leader of Young Adults' Mission. My second son was a member of White Stone Choir and a member of Dance Team. My relatives were evangelized and they attend our church.

We give all thanks and glory to God who recovered my family that had been destroyed and set me free from drug addiction and alcoholism.
