Junior Deaconess Youngsun Cho, age 73, Parish 12, South Korea
Junior Deaconess Youngsun Cho (third from left) recovered good health through the grace of God. She is having happy days while leading a Christian life with her daughter Deaconess Sunye Hong, her grandson Brother Junyoung Jung, and her granddaughter Sister Iseul Hong.
On May 17, 2014 I had an amazing dream while I was sleeping after Friday All-night Service. In the dream, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee squeezed my solar plexus.
In those days I had had difficulty breathing. I could neither walk fast nor run because I quickly became breathless. After the dream, however, I was able to walk fast and even run with no problem. After experiencing the work of God, I enjoyed listening to sermons and tried to live by the Word of God.
In August in 2014, I saw another powerful work of God happening to me. Since fifteen years ago my right eye had a nasolacrimal duct obstruction which leads to an excess flow of tears. I needed to carry tissues or handkerchiefs all the time as I shed tears so frequently. I also felt ashamed because my eyelids were often stuck with yellowish-green discharge. I underwent surgery twice for it, but with no improvement.
But now a mysterious thing occurred after I received Dr. Lee's prayer during the Seminar at the Manmin Summer Retreat 2014. My right nostril dripped constantly in the way the tears had previously kept running. In the morning on August 31, I blew my nose. I then felt it was cleared and at the same time my right eye felt cool. After that, the constant tears from my right eye stopped.
In November, I sold my house in Incheon and moved to my daughter's to lead a better Christian life. I felt grateful for allowing me to live a proper believing life as well as live with my daughter and my grandson. Now once again I was given another chance to increase faith.
While unpacking at her house, I was moving a flower pot. I tripped on something and fell down on the flowerpot. It felt like my hip bone collapsed, and severe pain swept over me. With the help of my grandson, I was rushed by ambulance to a hospital.
â–² X-ray of her thoracic vertebrae: 12th one with compression fracture
The screenings of X-ray and MRI revealed that my 12th thoracic vertebrae had been compressed with fracture. My doctor told me that I should stay in bed without moving for around three months. He would see if there was improvement and would then decide whether I needed surgery or not. But I prayed earnestly to attend worship services on Sunday.
I entered the hospital on Wednesday, so it seemed impossible for me to go to church on Sunday. But my grandson obtained the hospital's permission for me to go out and I went to church. On the way I experienced serious pain, but in my heart I was thankful I was going to church.
When I arrived at church the pain was so severe that I had to offer up the service lying down. I offered it up via GCN live broadcasting in our car parked in the church yard. God poured down lots of grace upon me through the message. While I was receiving Dr. Lee's prayer after the message, I was given faith of healing. As soon as the prayer ended, I abruptly sneezed twice. What a surprise! No pain was felt! My daughter said, "Mom, give it a try. Get up and get out of the car." I could get up, and got out of the car, and walked naturally without pain. Hallelujah!
My daughter and I cried a lot and gave glory to God. After all services, we went back to the hospital. Other patients were surprised to see me walk into my room with a bright face. I testified to God's healing.
It is said that in the case of compression fracture of thoracic vertebrae, improvement can be seen in six months at the earliest though it is treated with medicine, physical therapy, or brace-wearing. But my pain was gone, and in a few days, I came to walk normally. God's power is really amazing! I give all thanks and glory to God.
