Deacon Kiju Song, age 73, Parish 19, Manmin Central Church


My daughter-in-law had tried to evangelize me and I followed her to Manmin Central Church in May 2004. When I listened to Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons, I realized that there are Heaven and Hell, and men should live in goodness.

I stopped drinking and smoking. I became gentle to my wife. I started to keep the Lord's Day and give a whole tithe. I began working again and paid back my debt. In 2009, I was healed of peritonitis after I received Senior Pastor's prayer during the worship service.

My wife Deaconess Jeomsoon Lee and I have volunteered for a local sanctuary. As her food is good, she prepares rice and side dishes for the members on Sundays, and I drive the members to the central church.

I was born again in the Lord that way, and on December 14, 2016, I was blessed to have a new life again.



I am a carpenter, and I was working outside of a building for its extension. When I was working on the fifth floor, all of a sudden, a bundle of wooden bars, which are 3.5m in length and weigh 50kg, fell on my head. My safety helmet took off from my head. When I fell down, my upper body came out of the building. At the moment I was falling, I held steel frames fixed for temporary wall installation with my two hands. I barely hung on there with the wooden bar bundle on my neck and with my legs laid on slates.

Then, four bundles of wooden bars that weigh 200kg fell on my legs, but they supported my body so that I would not fall from the building. Without them, I would have just fallen from the building and died.

After ten minutes, I was narrowly rescued by my co-workers. I was taken to the hospital and my condition was checked. My head in the safety helmet was normal, and my neck and legs that were pressed by the bundles of wood turned out to be very normal without any problem. Hallelujah!

My co-worker who goes to work with me in my car saw me the next day and said, "When it happened, I thought you definitely had died. You are alive like this! I believe God saved you because you always receive Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer on the way to work." And he added, "You were given a new life. You are one year old!"

However hard I think of it, I have no idea how I could hold the steel frames at that moment. There is no way to explain it but the help of God. I would have died with one hundred percent chance in the situation, but God protected me. I give all thanks and glory to God and extend my thanks to Senior Pastor who always prays for us the church members with tears.
