"My daughter was healed of congenital heart disease by the handkerchief prayer"

| Manmin News No. 383 | 2014-04-20

Sister Miryung Choi (aged 32, Tokyo Manmin Church in Japan)

In September 2013, my beloved daughter named Siyeong was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. I was shocked, and then I repented that I hadn't led a proper Christian life.

My mother often talked about the powerful works that had occurred through Dr. Jaerock Lee Senior Pastor of Manmin Central Church and she advised me to lead an appropriate believing life. However, I hardly heard her. Now such a shocking incident happened, which opened my spiritual eyes. I realized that God couldn't protect me because I had been stained with the worldly sins. I gave thanks to Him for letting me realize it. I realized that He had felt compassion for me who was spiritually sick due to the worldly sins. I repented.

I attended Manmin Central Church's worship services in Japan via the Internet. One day, I heard that Rev. Heesun Lee, Manmin World Guidance Pastor would come to Japan to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Service of Iida Manmin Church (Pastor Seungkil Ryu). I prepared myself with earnest longing and prayer.

On February 22, 2014 I left Tokyo and arrived in Iida after a five-hour long train trip. Thankfully, Siyeong, who didn't normally drink milk and whined, acted like a gentle sheep on the day. As we got closer to Iida Manmin Church, my heart got more fluttery.

I attended the Handkerchief Healing Meeting (Acts 19:11-12) and thoroughly repented with tears and runny nose that I hadn't give tithes to God, hadn't kept the Sabbath holy, and had befriended the world. Then, I received the fire of the Spirit and my body became hot. I received Rev. Heesun Lee's prayer and I offered up the prayer of thanksgiving.

I received assurance of Siyeong's healing, so I had her take an ultrasound test the following day. The result revealed that one part of the opening of ventricular septal congenital defect had closed and the other had narrowed. Now she is growing well. Hallelujah!
