Brother Samuel, age 21, Chennai Manmin Church, India


In November 2012, I received Manmin News in Tamil and an invitation card to Chennai Manmin Church's 8th Anniversary Event from a woman on the street. I had attended the church when I was 11 years old following my aunt, so it was nice to hear about the church again. I attended the event and there received a lot of grace from the sermon and performance.

Afterwards, I went to the church and joined Manmin Central Church's worship services via GCN (www.gcntv.org). I learned how to pray and worship from Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and witnessed God's powerful works that are being unfolded today. I was amazed.

While reading his testimonial memoirs Tasting Eternal Life before Death in Tamil I was greatly moved by Senior Pastor's love and sincerity toward God and his fervent love for souls. I also read The Message of the Cross, and through the book I realized God's providence in human cultivation and Jesus Christ's love on the cross. After that, my Christian life was renewed.

While I was leading a happy Christian life, my grandfather experienced a great and powerful work of God.

In September 2014, my 78-year-old grandfather, who had become weakened, suddenly collapsed due to a stroke and he fell into a coma. He stayed in a hospital, but the doctor said there was no chance for his survival. So, we brought him home on October 6.

We were in sorrow because there wasn't anything we could do for him. We just had to wait and see his death. At the right time, our church was joining Manmin Central Church's Special Daniel Prayer Meeting.

I offered up a vowed prayer for my grandfather, and heard that Pastor Joseph Han would go to Korea for the central church's anniversary. I gave him my grandfather's picture and offerings and asked him to receive Senior Pastor's prayer on my behalf.

On October 10, Senior Pastor prayed for him on the picture and my grandfather came to life through the prayer! He recognized his family, ate well, stood up and sat down and walked freely on his own. Hallelujah!

This served as a good opportunity for my eight relatives who were attending Chennai Manmin Church to increase their faith. My nephew Santoshi, age 5, was scalded by hot water, but he was healed through handkerchief prayer and Muan Sweet Water.

I am a junior in college. I go to school after I receive Senior Pastor's prayer for the day and I drink Muan Sweet Water every morning. I read the Bible, memorize important verses every day, and I belong to the Male Singers' Team in Chennai Manmin Church.

I want to be a successful businessman after graduation so that I can support the church financially and help the poor. I am deeply thankful to the Lord of love who has led me to live a good and beautiful life.
