On the morning of February 11, 2015 I felt pain in my limbs and had a headache. When I sat down for lunch, I could not hold a spoon in hands. While making an appointment for treatment, my body started to become paralyzed. I had to enter the doctor's office in a wheelchair.
The doctor said it was a cerebral infarction, a stroke, and sent me to the intensive care unit. The symptoms were getting worse as the right side of my body became completely paralyzed. I could not even move one finger. I could not sit or stand up by myself.
I worked for Korea Telecommunication for 33 years. I wanted to become a little bit of help when the church constructs new sanctuary. So, I acquired seven professional qualifications related to communication and broadcasting. For the last two years I had been studying for a certificate of Professional Engineer Information Communication which is the most reputable in this field.
Meantime, this happened to me. I pondered the reason why. I had been arrogant because I had so many certificates in this field. In the beginning I started it for the kingdom of God, but the motive shifted to my greed and boastful mind. I stopped praying and I did not completely keep the Lord's Day holy. I focused primarily on studying for the certificate.
As I found myself foolish, tears flowed down my face. I began again to listen to Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons. While listening to his basic and fundamental messages, I reflected on my heart with the Word. I had not loved my family and others around me. I repented and received Dr. Lee's prayer for the sick after the messages.
Then my symptoms quickly improved. A month later I could walk slowly. Two weeks later I was discharged from the hospital and went home on foot! I recovered so fast that my doctor said he would report my case in the medical conference. However, I walked with a limp because my body had been totally paralyzed. I also had difficulty in climbing up the stairs.
I relied on God to be completely healed. A month before Manmin Summer Retreat 2015, I started to listen to the sermons, The Message of the Cross, Love Chapter, Nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit, Beatitudes, The Measure of Faith, Heaven, and Hell. I realized many things and thoroughly repented.
I did not know how to express love to my family because I had not received warm love from my parents in growth. I insisted on my own ways and burst out in anger when things went differently from my will. I had done many wrongdoings. I shed tears of repentance.
Finally, it was August 3, 2015 when Manmin Summer Retreat 2015 started. Senior Pastor prayed for the sick after delivering the message. Suddenly I was given strength in my right arm and leg. The strength came from above so strongly that my body trembled. Filled with emotion, I sprang up from the seat and walked to the stage. I was walking energetically like a normal person without a limp.
The next day I bounded up the steps. Afterwards, God made me feel like I was stretching and gave me strength. He made me even healthier. Hallelujah!
Since I experienced God's love and power, my believing life has been recovered. I have been leading a life with thanks that I had never felt. Just as King Hezekiah's life was extended when he relied on God, I also received a second life from God.
I give all thanks and glory to God who renewed me with the original voice through the work of re-creation and has been leading me to New Jerusalem, the best dwelling place in Heaven.
