I used to drink to forget the pain in my body and mind caused by various illnesses. For 10 years I felt numb in my arms. My hands were cold. I had very sharp pain at the tip of the thumb and index finger. My cartilages on both knees had broken down and I had a surgery on the left knee first. But it didn't work and I couldn't walk normally.

Due to side effects of prostate cancer surgery, I had to go to the bathroom every 5-10 minutes. The greatest pain was insomnia. It wasn't easy to sleep just for an hour a day. I had to take many kinds of medicines and naturally it put much pressure on my stomach, too. I didn't have any children, nobody to turn to, getting close to 70 years of age.

I had no hope of living, so I came to have extreme thoughts. I sent my wife back to her family and sold my car to pay off all the tabs in restaurants and bars.


Being Healed of Various Illnesses by God's Power

On the evening of March 11, 2016, I drank in the evening and left my house to commit suicide. I encountered someone in the neighborhood, and he suggested to me that I come to church and meet the living God. I followed him feeling like holding on to the last hope.

The church was Manmin Central Church. It was Friday and they had the Friday all-night service. The faces of the church members were shining. They were full of joy. I thought I wanted go to church, too. I returned home early in the morning and went to bed. When I woke up, I felt refreshed. I had a sound sleep, the first in a very long, long time.

The next day, Sunday, I registered in the church. I received the prayer for the sick people from the Senior Pastor Rev. Jaerock Lee in every worship service. After about a month, amazing things began to take place in my body.

The numbness in arms and the pain in fingers were gone. I had no pain in both knees. I could walk and run freely. One day some yellow mass came out with the urine, and the complication of the prostate surgery was healed. I could urinate normally. The insomnia was also gone, so I feel refreshed and light. Hallelujah!


Happiness in Health Being Full of the Spirit

As I recovered my health, I could go back to work in construction fields. While I was leading a life in faith with the conviction that God is really alive, I had another amazing experience.

I couldn't read books properly even with the magnifying eye-glasses, but my sight became better by the Senior Pastor's prayer. Now, I can read the small letters of the Bible even without the eye-glasses.

In June 2018, I was so surprised that I could move my left index finger freely, which I couldn't bend before. I was really moved. Before I came to the church, my left index finger was struck by industrial staples and since then I couldn't bend it. However, it was healed after I received the Senior Pastor's prayer for the sick with faith in every Sunday service.

Now, I am healthy in body and mind and I am happy. On the construction sites, even young men take a nap after lunch, but I read the Bible with my smartphone instead of taking a nap. I can work without getting tired because of the joy of salvation and fullness of the Spirit.


My Wife Received Sight

I am even more thankful that my wife also recovered happiness in her life by experiencing amazing power and love of God.

In April 2016 my wife came to the church for the first time with me. On that very day she was healed of a severe knee arthritis due to which she had to quit her job. Later, she heard from her doctor the cysts in her breasts could be cancerous but she just decided to get healed by faith. Those cysts did actually get smaller, and about a year later, they were completely gone.

Before she came to attend church, her right eye had no sight at all. To make it worse she had last stage cataract, which was not easily operable. When she heard the news she wept for days.

However, after she came to our church, in February 2017, her right eye began to see the rays of lights. She received a diagnosis by an ophthalmologist on February 25, and she couldn't just see lights but also objects with her right eye. The doctor said the cataract was now operable, and she agreed. Since then, her visual acuity in her left eye also increased. She can go out freely and got a job, too.

What if I actually committed suicide? I'd have had to suffer in the fires of hell forever. God of love had mercy on me and let me hear the gospel. He guided me to a good church so my wife and I could be saved and be healed of various illnesses. God gave me a joyful and happy life that I couldn't dream of! I give all thanks and glory to God and our Lord Jesus Christ!
