The year our son Won Duong turned 17, his teacher paid a visit to our home. He reported that Won Duong was so arrogant at school that he did not care to listen to any of the teachers. My husband and I became so upset that we hit him.
Afterwards, Won Duong's grades dropped rapidly and at times, he did not even go to school. One time, he wrote a will and did not come home for days. At another time, he charged at people with a knife in his hand. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia – mental disorder.
Won Duong was hospitalized and even in the hospital, he frequently broke vases and television sets, and became even more violent. My husband and I went to a Buddhist temple and fortunetellers, but his conditions only grew worse. After numerous cycles of hospitalizations and discharges, Won Duong was now in his 30s and my husband and I were busy paying for his medical treatments, which cost a fortune and took a heavy toll on our household.

Then one day in the autumn of 2004, I received two CD's as a gift. "These are the CD's of 'The 2002 Miracle Healing Prayer Festival,' conducted by Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor at Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul. Be sure to watch it!"
As I watched the scenes in which the rain began falling after a long drought upon Rev. Dr. Lee's arrival in India – a proof of God's presence with him – and in which countless people were healed by his prayer in the name of Jesus Christ of such incurable and terminal diseases as cancer and AIDS, I felt as if I were watching the signs and wonders our Jesus and His disciples had manifested.
'He can heal Won Duong!'
Then we began attending a Manmin branch near our home. Even though we were many, many miles away from him, we began listening to Rev. Dr. Lee's messages on the Internet and leading lives in Christ. We also heard the testimonies of so many people who received God's healing of their diseases through Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer that transcended time and space.
Towards the end of June 2005, my husband and I earnestly prepared an offering and sent it to Seoul along with a photograph of Won Duong, requesting the Senior Pastor's prayer for our son. We wrote to him, "Dear Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, our son Won Duong has been tormented by mental disorder for the past 21 years. Mental disorders cannot be cured by man. But we believe our son can be healed by the name of Jesus Christ. So we send you a photograph of Won Duong. Please pray for him."
On July 8, during "The Friday All-night Service," the Senior Pastor read our letter from the pulpit, placed his hand on Won Duong's photograph to pray for him. "Father God! Please lay Your hand on this photograph. Heal him of schizophrenia. Let the light come. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ." A miraculous thing happened after receiving prayer.

"Your son has markedly improved. We think he can go home now."
Upon our visit to the hospital, all the nurses said Won Duong's condition had dramatically improved. Two months later, after confirming that our son was healed of schizophrenia, Won Duong was discharged from the hospital, healthier than ever. During the next 2-3 months, my husband and I were concerned whether or not mental disorder might recur but 10 months after being healed, Won Duong is still doing very well.
At witnessing this unimaginable sight, my husband and I rejoiced. Won Duong also repented of his ways and is now a son who is very dutiful and faithful to his parents. Wherever he goes, Won Duong distributes the church fliers and testifies to the God he has met. He is also in charge of praise, prayer meetings, and presiding over services.
Our family and neighbors, who witnessed Won Duong's healing, also gave glory to the Savior of mankind Jesus Christ and our Father the Living God. Our family, which has suffered from times of discord because of Won Duong's sickness, has also become a unit filled with love and joy.
I praise the power of God manifested through Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor at Manmin Joong-ang Church. Hallelujah!

Difference between "Jesus" and "Jesus Christ"

At the end of our prayer, we often say, "I pray in the name of Jesus." Yet, the name "Jesus" is a future-tense expression, referring to "He who will save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). "Christ" is a Greek term that has been translated from a Hebrew word "Messiah," and refers to "He who has perfected God's providence of salvation." Therefore, it is correct to refer to Jesus before His bearing of the cross as "Jesus" and in order to refer to Jesus after His resurrection, we must use such titles as "Jesus Christ," "Lord Jesus," or "Lord."
Closing our prayer "in the name of Jesus Christ," "in the name of Lord Jesus," or "in the name of Our Lord" carries greater authority in spirit.
